Luka Doncic is determined to prove his worth to the Los Angeles Lakers after his mid-season trade, and his performance in Saturday’s 134-127 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies proved his commitment to the team. However, the grind of an intense schedule is beginning to take its toll on the Lakers’ newest star.

The Lakers played their last 10 games within 15 days. The demands of the schedule were evident on Saturday when Doncic was seen diving for a loose ball from Dorian Finney-Smith and crashing into the sidelines. His frustration was palpable as he was on the floor.

“I’m so over this sh*t,” Doncic said.

The night ended on a positive note for both Doncic and the Lakers. They improved their season record to 45-30. Doncic finished the game with 29 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists. What’s more, Doncic’s performance on Saturday solidified his place in Lakers history. With his 29-point effort, he became the third guard in Lakers’ history to record 15 consecutive 20-point games, joining legends Kobe Bryant and Jerry West.

Following the Lakers’ disappointing loss to the Chicago Bulls, Luka Doncic addressed the ongoing challenge of building chemistry with LeBron James and Austin Reaves. When asked about their ability to play together effectively, Doncic didn’t hold back in his response.

“We got to figure out how to play all three together. You guys ask me this question after every game, but we’re just trying to figure it out. We haven’t had a lot of practice. I think it’s coming,” Doncic said.

Integrating a superstar like Doncic mid-season comes with inevitable adjustments. However, the Lakers team and coach JJ Redick have seemingly had some success regarding this, as both their season record and standing have improved since Doncic’s trade.

During the most recent NFL Draft in Detroit, social media was buzzing as athletes showed up to the red carpet event with their girlfriends and family. Many of the incoming NFL rookies were African-American and were spotted with white women, which has become the usual theme for years.

The same thing happens with the NBA Draft.

This year, the discourse on the NFL Draft and NBA Draft has gotten even louder as African-American women openly pondered why so many of the players never have a partner that is the same race as them.

One guy on TikTok decided to answer that question by revealing that the vast majority of his division-1 friends in college or headed to the league are dating or married to white women and explained why.

He stated that some of them had told him that their white girlfriend looked up to Taylor Swift while their girlfriend looked up to Megan The Stallion. He then states the guy asks how many white women he has seen doing the Megan Thee Stallion challenge as opposed to Black women.

He then dove into another story of a friend who relayed that his Black girlfriend started to request money from him as soon as she found out about his NIL money. She wanted her hair and nails done. He then added that the Black women would be upset if they went to places like Chipotle, and she demanded steak houses.
