Stephen Curry can do many things on the court, but there is one thing he does that his mother does not like.

In a February 2016 interview, Curry shared that he was force

ed to give his mother money each time he had too many turnovers.

Curry has hovered around three turnovers a game for much of his career, sometimes guilty of trying to get too fancy with passing or dribbling.

His payment to his mother was part of a wager they had set up together.

“On the court, I’m not afraid of anything. I try to have confidence and have a belief in myself,” he said in part.

“The only thing I’m probably afraid of is having too many turnovers. I have a bet with my mom that involves a little money, and if I have too many turnovers, she gets in my pocket. I’m afraid of that for sure,” remarked Curry, per Business Insider.

San Francisco Chronicle revealed the details of the bet back then.

Things were quite simple: Stephen Curry could have two turnovers without penalty, but once he got over that number, each additional turnover would cost him $100.

Should Steph keep the turnovers under three, he could get some money back.

The Golden State Warriors were on the road on Friday night as they took on the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie Kings Center.

The Warriors had been one of the hottest teams in the NBA before their two-game losing skid.

The headliner for Friday’s matchup was the availability of Warriors superstar guard Stephen Curry, who has missed their last two games due to a pelvic contusion.

As luck would have it, he would certainly play.

Curry played 34 minutes and made just 7 of 21 shots, but also hit five 3-pointers. On Friday, he helped the Warriors end a two-game skid with a 111-95 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.
